The TASM platform, housed at IMT Atlantique, aims to study and evaluate underwater acoustic communication systems, the only technology currently available to transmit data wirelessly underwater over long distances. It is therefore an essential building block for the deployment of underwater communication networks, for example, to exchange data with autonomous underwater drones. TASM thus acts as a test platform, enabling innovative technical solutions to be tested under real conditions at sea.
The TASM (Transmission Acoustique Sous-Marine) platform has been awarded the Carnot Télécom & Société numérique label, under the acronym OSE (Observation et Surveillance de l'Environnement).
