[Video] The EUROP platform: recreating an entire Internet operator on the scale of a single room

February 17, 2023 - Networks & IoT

Fixed network and industrial transfer of ultra-high-speed communication technologies

Find out more about the features and specificities of this Carnot-certified Télécom & Société numérique platform, by clicking on our video link.

Located at Télécom Saint-Étienne, the EUROP platform recreates the entire physical and technical infrastructure of an Internet operator on the scale of a single room. The entire network distribution chain is thus reproduced, from Internet boxes on copper or optical fiber technologies to platforms (virtualization) enabling the operation of an operator's services (voice over IP, video on demand, television, web services, etc.), via access networks and an MPLS network core. What's more, with 5G and the new IoT antennas, the platform offers the possibility of tackling all the data collection and processing services linked to the Internet of Things.
