Back to Carnot TSN's participation in Global Industrie 2025

March 24, 2025 - Big Data & AI - Cybersecurity - Industry of the future - Intelligent mobility - Networks & IoT - Digital health - Smart City

From March 11 to 14, 2025, Eurexpo Lyon hosted the Global Industrie trade show, bringing together over 50,000 professionals and 2,500 exhibitors from 84 countries. The theme of this year's show was "People at the heart of industry", and it was the scene of major technological innovations, technical competitions and strategic meetings, with the Carnot Network and its institutes, including the Carnot TSN institute, taking a prominent part.

Focus on people

Global Industrie 2025 focused on industrial talent and know-how, with debates and presentations highlighting the professions of tomorrow. The Grande Scène and the Global Industrie TV platform provided an ideal forum for exchanges, while the GI Avenir area raised awareness among young people of the opportunities offered by the sector, with a particular focus on the theme of people in industry. This theme aims to highlight the importance of people in the transformation and innovation of industrial processes, in response to the technological, environmental and social upheavals that are shaping tomorrow's world.

Outstanding innovations and a strong international dimension

At this seventh edition, a number of innovations caught the eye: Sirius Space Services presented its reusable mini launchers, Mapea transformed textile waste into high-quality plastics, Kilow unveiled "La Bagnole", an electric quadricycle suitable for daily commuting, and Bioteos presented an air purifier based on microalgae.

The event was also marked by the fourth edition of the Golden Tech, where top industry professionals competed in design, robotics, cybersecurity and supply chain, under the inspiring theme of "Human Genius".

With representatives from 84 countries and 57% more international visitors than last year, Global Industrie 2025 strengthened its international dimension, fostering strategic partnerships in industry 4.0, energy transition and technological innovation.

The Carnot Network: driving innovation

The Carnot Network took center stage at this year's event, presenting innovative solutions on stand 2K61. Demonstrations and pitches took place throughout the four days, with nearly 20 speakers from the various Carnot institutes taking the floor in the mini-conference zone. Several member institutes shared their advances, including Carnot Télécom & Société numérique.

The Carnot Network has set up a space around three universes:

  • Man-machine collaboration
  • Well-being at work / safety
  • Training and skills development

These three universes were an opportunity to meet and talk directly with the scientific experts present, but also to discover the latest technologies at the heart of these themes by browsing the stand where visitors could find demonstrations from 9 of the 39 Carnot institutes:

  • Carnot TSN: presentation of "augmented training", using augmented reality helmets to create autonomous augmented reality tutorials in just a few minutes.
  • Carnot ARTS: presentation of a production line with digital twin, optimizing training and industrial management.
  • CEA-List: unveiling of "Moonshot", an intelligent robot designed to dismantle batteries.
  • MECD: study on the impact of exoskeletons in the construction industry, aimed at improving working conditions.
  • Ingénierie@Lyon: presentation of cutting-edge industrial engineering solutions.
  • Chimie Balard Cirimat: a new method for developing thermoelectric materials to convert heat into electricity
  • ESP: vibratory and acoustic expertise to optimize operator comfort and industrial production.
  • Icéel: Virtual Reality applications for the design/improvement of manufacturing systems
  • M.I.N.E.S.: capturing posture at the workstation

In addition, a notable collaboration was formalized between the Carnot Network and the Comité Richelieu to accelerate cooperation between research laboratories and innovative companies, with the signing of a partnership agreement between the two entities. Aninstitutional meeting also took place on the stand, between Marc Ferracci, Minister of Industry and Energy, and Hélène Determe, Carnot Cetim's Deputy Director of Partnerships.

SHIFT89, useful augmented reality

On the same stand, the Carnot TSN institute was accompanied by representatives of Shift89, a French company founded in 2020, specializing in augmented training using augmented reality to facilitate the transmission of manual know-how within organizations. Their solution enables business experts to create immersive tutorials independently, in just a few minutes, improving training efficiency and team versatility. Key application sectors include industry, training centers, and defense and security. By preserving and sharing essential skills, Shift89 helps companies meet the challenges of recruiting and training new talent.

All in all, this 2025 edition confirmed the show's role as a catalyst for industrial renewal, while highlighting the human and technological potential of French and international industry.
