What is the Carnot label?

A Carnot specialized in the digital area

Carnot Télécom & Société numérique (Carnot TSN) has been label as a Carnot institute since 2006. It is the first Carnot specialized in ICT sciences on the national scale.

With more than 1 700 researchers, we focus on technical, economical, and social implications of the digital transformation. Our expertise is especially oriented towards connected objects, networks, emerging media, new digital services, e-health, environment and global security.

The Carnot Télécom & Société numérique is part of the AiCarnot, gathering all the Carnot institutes.

The Carnot initiative is funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR).

Carnauto: preparing the future of mobility and transports

9 Carnot institutes, including Carnot TSN, are united into the Carnauto branch. This group is dedicated to fostering innovation in the automobile and mobility sector. Carnauto is setting up unprecented resources, including 65 technological platforms and more than 8 000 experts for a customized support to businesses. Three market segments are focused: motorisation, structural materials, and information technologies for a better mobility.

A Carnot alliancy for digital technologies and services

The Carnot ICT-MNT alliancy gathers Carnot institutes with an activity in the information and communication technologies (ICT) and in the micro- and nano-technologies (MNT) sectors.

The alliancy covers all the scientific fields in these two domains and mobilize unique scientific resources at the european level on many tehcnologies (CMOS, chips design and architecture, signal processing, cybersecurity, complex systems and networks…).

The alliancy aims at better answering industry needs by coordinating specific skills required for a project.
