[Video] A third consecutive successful participation of Carnot TSN at the Web Summit in Lisbon

November 24, 2025 - Big Data & AI - Cybersecurity - Industry of the future - Networks & IoT

For the third year running, the Carnot Institut Télécom & Société Numérique (Carnot TSN) took part in the Web Summit in Lisbon, held from November 10 to 13. François Pineau, Director of the Carnot TSN institute, was on hand at the booth, along with Linagora representatives Alexandre Zapolsky and Diane Potokina, and Benjamin André for Twake. This renewed presence confirms that Carnot TSN, one of the 39 institutes of the Carnot Network, is firmly anchored in the major international events dedicated to digital innovation.

Web Summit stand and partnership: a springboard for innovation

On its stand, the Carnot TSN institute highlighted its expertise in networks & systems, artificial intelligence, cloud datas, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
Collaboration with LINAGORA and Twake was a particular highlight:

  • LINAGORA, through its testimonial, underlined the importance of open-source, responsible AI and digital sovereignty, in particular through Twake.ai, its sovereign digital-workplace.

  • Together, they offered visitors an opportunity to engage in qualitative exchanges on the challenges of digital transformation, and illustrated in concrete terms how public-private research can generate value for businesses.
    This type of stand-expertise-partner interface is directly in line with Carnot TSN's mission: to catalyze innovation in the French and European ecosystem.

Highlighted issues: transformation, sovereignty, open-source

At this year's Web Summit, a number of key themes were discussed:

  • generative and "operational" AI, which leaves the laboratory to transform business processes.

  • the question of European digital sovereignty: data, infrastructures and value chains.

  • industrial transition and the digital transformation of business models. With this in mind, the Carnot TSN institute was able to present concrete solutions for industrialists, based on the results of its research.

Added value for stakeholders

  • For companies: an opportunity to get in touch with the Carnot TSN institute and its partners, to co-construct R&D projects tailored to their needs;

  • For academic and research partners: an opening to the international ecosystem, through networking, partnerships and strategic visibility;

  • For the Carnot TSN institute itself: a platform for demonstrating its positioning as a "player in digital transformation", capable of federating research, innovation and industry.
    This type of intervention is fully in line with the logic of valorizing research and consolidating the Carnot ecosystem.

Prospects and relays for the institute

This participation is based on several levers to be exploited in the coming months:

  • capitalize on existing contacts to initiate new collaborations, in particular around the themes of responsible AI, networks & IoT, and cybersecurity;

  • produce illustrations of concrete cases presented on the stand (e.g. Twake.ai or other open-source applications) to highlight the benefits for industry and society;

  • Extend the Carnot TSN institute's visibility on institutional channels, by relaying the event's key lessons, observed trends and strategic messages (digital sovereignty, industrial transformation).

The Carnot Télécom & Société numérique institute's presence at the Web Summit in Lisbon from November 10 to 13, 2025 is a clear demonstration of the institute's determination to assert itself as a leading player in the field of digital and industrial innovation. Accompanied by LINAGORA and Twake, the stand combined technological expertise, applied research and industrial orientation. For manufacturers, start-ups and research players, it was a key moment for networking and inspiration. For the Carnot TSN institute, it was a renewed commitment to supporting digital transformation and building European digital sovereignty.
